Screencasting in WebRTC is the capability of sharing the screen with remote peers.

Screencasting enables sharing a full screen, a specific tab or a specific application. It is treated as a video channel.

Screencasting requires the creation of a Chrome extension in Chrome. It is not supported by other browsers yet.

Screencasting is also known as screen sharing.
